The 4rd BRESL Regional Project Steering Committee Meeting
Venue: Phuket, Thailand Date: 26-28 March 2012
The 4th BRESL Regional Project Steering Committee (RPSC) Meeting was held on 26 – 27 March 2012, in Hilton Hotel, Phuket, Thailand, combined with the BRESL/ESCAP Regional Cooperation, Harmonization and Mutual Recognition on Energy Efficiency Standards and Labeling Workshop which was held on March 28, 2012 on the same venue. The RPSC is composed of the Key Partners of the Project composed of the six (6) Participating Countries (PCs), viz., Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietnam and Thailand; the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the Implementing Agency; and the China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) as the Executing Agency of the BRESL Project.
The BRESL RPMU invited the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in the 4th RPSC meeting as a cooperating agency in the workshop activities related to the abovementioned regional ES&L harmonization and mutual recognition in view of possible mutually beneficial collaboration to promote energy efficiency in the region. RMPU also invited representatives from the relevant agencies in the countries with active ES&L programs, viz., India, Malaysia and the Philippines.
